Grandma & Grandkids

The kids got all muddy down at the river so grandma had to hose them off!

The Girls Slumber Party!

Cousins by the river

I took my kids to St. George to visit my mom and sisters over spring break, and we had so much fun. The weather was awesome, and we were able to do many fun things. We went swimming, played at the park, went to the movies, had slumber parties with cousins, shopped the outlets, went to the Jacob Hamblin pioneer house, went to Zions, and played by the river. I actually stayed back at my moms on the Zion trip, Cy and Hadlie are too little for the hikes, but my girls had a blast with Aunt Kenice, Aunt Kaysha (Waynsh), and Grandma Minon. My friends Shea and Steffanie were down for the weekend as well, so we got together at the park on Friday and visited while our kids played. Good times, Good times!

Thank you! Thank you! To my mom and my sisters for letting us come down and mess up your houses and eat your food. You are the best and I loved every minute with you!

I was so silly in highschool!

I don't know why I thought about this, but it made me laugh. You know when you were in highschool and you'd be cruisin with your friends? Often times, you probably yelled or whistled or shouted things out the windows at cute boys, or passerbys. So I use to do this kinda stuff all the time with my friends in highschool. Sometimes we would roll down our windows at stoplights and say to the people in the car next to us, "Pardon me, but do you have any grey poupon your pants." We thought we were pretty hilarious. Anyway, so I'm a bit of a spaz and I decide to just randomly yell out my window to people outside "You are Wonderful" or "Have a Wonderful Day!" I don't know why I was such a dork! So I was remembering this the other day and realized how funny that really is. Can you imagine standing outside your house and some wierd girl drives down the street and yells out to you, "You are Wonderful!" I don't care who you are, that is FUNNY!

Hadlie's Blessing

We blessed our sweet baby Hadlie today. It was wonderful, and I am so grateful to have a husband who holds the Priesthood. I am also grateful for all my children, they are my greatest blessings. We had family over after for a BBQ, and had a great time visiting with them. It was a beautiful day today as well, we have been hoping for some nice weather, and it finally came.

A little something about Hadlie:

This beautiful little baby is so sweet and has a strong personality already! She has discovered how effective her lungs are and uses them well. She loves her mommy, and when I'm cooing at her she does this little bobble thing with her head. She loves to stick out her tongue, and she tries really hard to talk. We call her Hoo Hoo, or Hadidily (like Ned Flanders on the Simpsons). She loves to cuddle and sleep with mom, and she often peeks one eye open to make sure I'm there. I love her so much and am so glad she is my daughter.

Super Cy

Cy is turning into a monster! He has been growling and chasing the girls, and pinching them, and doing all things that brothers do to torture their sisters. When he was a baby, and Ryllie and Maddux would treat him like a doll, or dress him up in girls clothes, we warned them that he'd be bigger than them someday and paybacks would be a nightmare. So, he isn't quite bigger than them yet, but he is strong, and he is beginning the paybacks. Well girls, we told you so. Neener, neener, neener.

By the way, try not to look to close at the nasty booger in his nose! :)

Max World 2- Striking a Pose

I've decided to keep updating funny things that Maddux says and does. These pictures show her personality very well. Tonight she was pretending to be a waitress, and went up to dad with a piece of paper and a pen. "Dad, can I take your order, what would you like to eat tonight?" Dad answers, "Steak, chicken lobster, and a soda". Maddux pretends to write it down and then comes to me. "Mom, can I take your order." I said, "I'll have what dad's having. Now tell me what he's having." I wanted to see if she could remember his order. She couldn't remember, so she told me that I'd have to read it off her paper and handed it to me. Of course she can't write, and I can't read chicken scratches, but I thought that was a pretty clever comeback.

Max World

Our little four year old Maddux is our very imaginative and hilarious child. Here are just a few funny things Max has said this week.

1-"Mom, I just made a wish on the wishing star," Max says. "What did you wish for?" Mom says. "I wished for superpowers!" says Max. The next morning, "Mom, mom, my wish came true. I have super speed powers! Look how fast I can go up the stairs."

2- Maddux is notorious for using "big" words incorrectly. The other day I could hear her in the bathroom making some good efforts to relieve herself. After some good effort I hear her say to herself, "Ahhh, now thats comfortable." I started to laugh so hard, she had no idea I could hear her.

3- At Sunday dinner Casey tells Max to finish her meat on her plate. There was not much there, but apparantly Max thought there was enough to feed an army, she says to Casey, "but dad, its IMPOSSIBLE!" We couldn't help but laugh, and guess what, she didn't finish her meat. Go figure.

4- Maddux singing Zippidee Doo Dah... "Mr. Bluebird on my shoulder, it the truf, exactly, everything is wonderful. Zippidee Doo Dah, Zippidee Ay, wonderful feeling, feeling today."

5- Maddux likes to run around the house with a princess wand saying, "Bibbily, Bobbily, Boo"

6- You will often hear Maddux saying, "you've gotta be kiddin me" and "what the..."

7- Maddux singing High School Musical at the top of her lungs... "I need, I need, Ineed, I need, I need fablious!"

Grandpa's 80th Birthday

Yesterday was Grandpa Hansen's 80th birthday. He has meant so much to our family. He is a wonderful husband to grandma, and loves her dearly. He is creative and inventive. He made a kite for all the great grandkids and they had a ball flying it yesterday. I have only known grandpa a little over 8 of those 80 years, but I feel that I have known him my entire life. He genuinely loves people and can always make us smile. He always has a joke or a crude song to sing (he was in the Navy). He remembers everyone he meets and has a phenomenal memory. I feel so close to him and have always been able to talk to him easily. He is a person that everyone feels comfortable with. Grandpa and grandma have always been a great example and I know that Casey has considered grandpa to be his best friend his entire life. So a tribute to grandpa and to many more years. You know you have to live to be at least 180! We love you!

Easter Dresses

Growing up I always remember Easter Sunday as a day where all my cute friends came to church in these pretty new spring dresses. Coming from a family of eight girls, getting an Easter dress pretty much didn't happen. I know, poor me. Just kidding, I'm sounding more materialistic and shallow as the story goes on. Anyhow, for some reason it was a big deal to me back then and I always wanted to be able to get my own daughters Easter dresses when I became a mom, and let me tell you, it is more fun picking out the dresses and giving them to my girls then it would have ever been receiving one!
